Less is More Having started Wayland Marine, Ltd. in 1988, I had always said that I would continue until I was 70!  Now at 67, it just seems the right time to downsize and semi-retire.  Our new Economy power catamaran, nearing completion, is named Less is More - time to apply the same philosophy to our rowing business.

We will be closing our shop at the end of the season while continuing to sell Sea Ranger, Echo and Water Rower out of our home studio by appointment. Just call to look or set up a rowing demo.

Economy Cat is a French power catamaran design. see http://ikarus342000.com/ECOmotorboat.htm Just 18' long and weighing but 600 lbs. , it is powered by twin Honda 5 hp motors for 12 knots and, perhaps, 1/2 gallon/hour fuel consumption.

After selling our ten year old Jarcat 6 in September, I started building October, had shoulder surgery mid-November, restarted Jan 1 , took a break for RowExpo, and hope to have ready for paint (out sourced) by the end of March. Just like building a Merry Kit, it is simply "one stick" at a time. Just keep at it and be ready for summer fun!
